I was overdue for a vacation sooooo I decided to take a trip to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Let’s Get this party Started!
On Sunday, April 24, 2022, I departed Richmond International Airport at approximately 6:15AM and landed in Fort Lauderdale, Florida at approximately 8:30AM.
When vacationing near a beach my preference is always a view of the ocean however, I substituted an ocean view for a view of the city at The Dalmar Hotel.
The Dalmar is a luxury boutique hotel that is conveniently located in downtown Fort Lauderdale and only minutes away from all the action. The Dalmar is absolutely PERFECT. A beautiful aesthetic always sparks joy for me and my entire stay at The Dalmar was full of joy.
During my stay I was able to lay by the pool, walk to a local coffee shop, bike ride to Las Olas, take a shuttle to the Ritz Carlton to hangout beach side under a complimentary umbrella or have a concert in my room thanks to bluetooth connectivity in each room.
After locating my hotel, I decided to stop by Circle House Coffee, where I enjoyed a delicious vanilla latte and a bagel before heading to the dock for my boat tour.
A 90 minute boat tour along the new river was the perfect way to relax and learn about Fort Lauderdale on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.
After the tour, I enjoyed a Jerk Chicken Sandwich at Bo’s on the Beach.
I still had some time to spare, so I headed to the beach to read “You are a badass at Making Money” before checking into my hotel.
At 4PM I checked in at the Dalmar, showered and changed for dinner. I’m ashamed to share this (not really) BUT, I saw a PF Chang’s on the way to the hotel sooooo that’s what I had for dinner. No need for pictures right? lol.
Monday April 25, 2022
I wanted to grab breakfast before heading to the beach so I took a very short walk to Top Hat. I ordered a salted caramel latte, steak, eggs and hashbrowns.
I ended the morning with a bike ride to Las Olas before taking the shuttle to the beach for the remainder of the afternoon.
After the beach, I decided to try Taco Craft. I didn’t have a huge appetite so I ordered one shrimp taco, chips/salsa and a strawberry marg. It ( the marg) was perfection. lol.
I ended the night by having dinner on the water at Shooters.
Tuesday, April 25, 2022
Tuesday, was an extremely light day that consisted of a walk to Circle House Coffee, a bike ride to Las Olas, Taco Tuesday at Racco’s and reading on the beach. I landed back in Richmond, VA at 11:30PM.
